A room with a view
Dear Kingfisher,
We are currently sitting in our beautiful new conservatory and talking about what a superb experience working with you has been. Then we thought we should put pen to paper and let you know, as it passed so quickly we weren’t really able to thank everyone individually. I hope you can pass this on to everyone who was involved.
We’ve been in our home for nearly 25 years and had been thinking for some time about extending it. A lifetime of accumulated ‘stuff’ plus five grandchildren who regularly visit meant that our living room wasn’t really adequate anymore. We’d looked at either converting our loft or adding a conservatory, and had been wrangling over the decision for such a long time. In the end we decided to go for the conservatory because we’re both keen gardeners and thought it would be nice to enjoy it for more of the year. Also a couple of friends had mentioned your name to us – both very complimentary – and we knew you were local, so we thought we’d give you a call.
From that first encounter we were really impressed with your staff – not only with how polite they were but also with their very sensible advice. It really was like talking to a friend – no sales patter or pressure. I know people are doing work like this to their houses all the time now, but we’re a bit set in our ways so it was a big decision for us! However we just rang you up whenever something worried us and the girls who answered were always very reassuring.
We certainly didn’t need to worry about disruption or mess to the house – all the guys involved were very considerate and hard-working. And always on time – we were never left waiting in only for no-one to turn up. In fact the whole process was completely painless – now I can see how people get hooked on home improvements!
The best thing, of course, is the result. We’re now able to spread out and this beautiful new room has become the centre of the house. We can enjoy the garden from it, the grandchildren can play safely in it (very handy when it’s raining!), and we’ve used it as our dining room when we’ve been entertaining. It really has brought us such joy, our only regret is not having done it sooner.
So a big THANK YOU to everyone that helped us, you really did make something we were quite nervous about doing very straightforward. We won’t hesitate to recommend you to others. And you’re all welcome to pop in for a cup of tea anytime!
