St Gemma's Hospice

Kingfisher donated £770 to St Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds to fund seven days of community nurse home visits for a patient.

Kingfisher managing director, Derek Harding, visited St Gemma’s to tour the Hospice and find out more about the vital equipment and services required to run the facility. “So many people are affected directly or indirectly by terminal illness that it’s vital the expert knowledge and care that St. Gemma's provides carries on.

It's incredible, but the cost of keeping the hospice open for just a day is more that £10,000 and St Gemma's has never charged patients or their families - all their funding comes from charitable donations. It's never been more important to give generously to St Gemma's in any way you can."
