Kingfisher Windows are awarded grade A for energy efficiency |
BFRC RatingWe’re delighted that all our windows have now been certified by BM TRADA as Grade A under the BRFC rating scheme. This means that Kingfisher windows are among the most energy efficient available. How is the BRFC grade worked out?The British Fenestration Ratings Council devised the BRFC certification scheme because conventional ways of measuring and grading energy efficiency failed to take into account critical factors such as how much energy a window can gain. Rather than simply assigning a U-value, the BRFC grade is awarded based on the following criteria:
• the thermal transmittance (the U-value)
The scale runs from A to G, with A being the most energy efficient. |
