Orangeries

Orangeries date back to the 17th Century, when they were originally designed to aid the growth and cultivation of citrus trees during the winter months. As time has evolved orangeries are rarely used for cultivation nowadays, but rather as striking architectural additions that create new space and a unique atmosphere which suits almost any style of property.

The orangery is generally defined as having one or more lantern roofs. Although based on traditional building techniques, our orangeries are a new take on the traditional atrium-style conservatory which adds a touch of contemporary flair to any home. It is becoming increasingly popular for orangeries to be used as kitchens or dining rooms, thanks to their classical appearance and the amount of privacy they afford. An orangery bridges the gap between a conservatory and an extension and provides a wonderful link between your garden and your home.

The interior height of the orangery roof is one of its most attractive qualities. Our orangeries are wonderfully airy spaces, allowing light to flood into your home while providing breathtaking views of the sky, as well as being cosy and inviting in the winter. Orangeries have had a significant growth in popularity for the discerning customer that appreciates style and design.
