Kingfisher Windows was proud to support the major refurbishment of Delaney Heights, a landmark residential tower block in Salford. Formerly known as Matthias Court and named in honour of acclaimed Salford playwright Shelagh Delaney, this building has been transformed from dated student accommodation into 119 modern, affordable homes for local residents — and Kingfisher Windows played a key role in bringing the upgraded building fabric to life.

Following an extensive refurbishment programme, Delaney Heights now presents a striking, contemporary visual presence in its neighbourhood. As part of this transformation, Kingfisher Windows was selected to deliver high-quality glazing solutions tailored to both performance and aesthetics.

What We Supplied

To refresh the exterior and enhance internal living environments throughout the tower, we supplied and installed:

• Anthracite grey uPVC casement windows — These sleek, durable windows now line the building’s façade, giving the tower a consistent, modern appearance while delivering reliable performance for residents.

• Curtain walling to the entrance and communal stairways — These visually striking glazed façades flood key internal areas with natural light, improving circulation spaces and creating a more welcoming environment for both residents and visitors.

The combination of high-performance windows and expansive curtain walling not only enhances the building’s look but also helps to improve comfort and usability across the block.
