We recently undertook a commercial project to kit out Sky-House with high performance
Optima windows and doors. Sky-House is a new development of eco friendly, design focused townhouses in Fox Valley, Sheffield.
This sustainable development project aims to offer environmental benefits alongside a contemporary twist on tradition Victorian terraces. We’re proud to have been selected to help with this fascinating project!
Not so long ago, Fox Valley was a steelworks stockholding yard, but today it’s a busy urban development that attracts young professionals to the area. Sky-House is one of many future proofed, eco friendly developments in this area, and brings sustainable living to the forefront.
Optima Flush Casement Windows
We installed over 100
Optima windows and doors into Sky-House. We used the Optima uPVC Flush Casement Window System from Epwin Window Systems, as it provides the perfect blend of modern performance alongside classic timber aesthetics. The Optima flush casement windows we used replicate traditional timber casement window designs in a flawless and highly accurate fashion, making them the perfect fit for a Victorian inspired development.
Our Optima flush casement windows are fully double glazed, which allows them to be incredibly thermally retentive and energy efficient, which is part of what makes them so environmentally friendly.
We used full height Optima flush casement windows and doors to help maximise the amount of natural light that could be let in. This gives the Sky-House development a lighter, brighter, airier feel, making the space ever more luxurious.
Finishing the flush casement windows in Anthracite grey 7016 smooth on white, we helped created a contemporary twist on the traditional styling, to match the blended stylistic designs of this Sheffield project.

Our Optima flush casement windows and doors installation in Sky-House fully meets the requirements of UK and EU building regulations as standard, and we also offer a Secured By Design option, to ensure that everything is as high performance as possible. In this particular project, this also meant using enhanced glass along with additional fixings, transoms, mullions and reinforcing, to provide the best protection against the higher wind and barrier loads this site is exposed to – thanks to it’s absolutely amazing location with extensive views across this Sheffield valley! We always go the extra mile for our commercial projects, and you can see it in the finished product!
